Other cookies

Het Nieuwe Instituut may not always be able to gain insight into all the cookies that are placed by third parties via the website. This applies especially to embedded content. Examples include (image) material that is loaded via another website, for example, a Vimeo video stream. If you detect any cookies that are not mentioned in the above overview, please contact Het Nieuwe Instituut or the third party that uses the cookie.

Deleting cookies & browser settings

You can delete (some) cookies in your browser. How this works differs from browser to browser.

Internet Explorer:
- In Internet Explorer, select ‘Tools’, click on ‘Security’, and then select ‘Delete Browsing History’. Select the ‘Cookies and Website Information’ checkbox and click on ‘Delete’.

Firefox:
- In Firefox click on the horizontal lines in the top right corner and then select ‘Options’. Select ‘Privacy & Security’ and then ‘History’. Here you can indicate which cookies should be deleted. In addition, under ‘Delete Recent History...’ you can delete all the cookies by setting the time period to be deleted to ‘All’, selecting ‘Cookies’ in the ‘Details’ menu, and then clicking the ‘Delete Now’ arrow.

Chrome:
- Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of your browser. Then go to ‘Settings’ and click on ‘Advanced’. Under ‘Privacy and Security’, click on ‘Settings for Content’. Then click on ‘Cookies’. You can now delete all or some cookies.

Moreover, it is possible to set up your browser such that you are asked to approve a cookie before it is placed. You can also instruct your browser to accept only some or all cookies. Het Nieuwe Instituut would like to point out in this regard that by refusing all cookies, functional cookies will not be placed either, as a result of which the website may not function properly. For more information about setting up your browser, please refer to your browser’s Help page.
